The Cyber Task Force is designed to help educate our community on social media safety and internet safety. The Cyber Task Force is an essential initiative aimed at addressing the growing digital challenges facing the education sector and the broader community. We believe that the work of this committee is important and necessary to keep our children safe. Unseen Dangers: Ghost Apps and How They Put Your Child at RiskGhost apps are essentially apps that hide other apps on a mobile device. They're designed to be hidden from plain sight and can be disguised as other apps or even hidden in secret folders. This makes it incredibly difficult for parents to monitor their child's online activity, and can be a cause for concern. Join Hillsborough Countywide School Board Member Karen Perez and Internet Safety Educator Bianca Goolsby to learn more about ghost apps and how they can put your child at risk. They will be discussing how parents can protect their children from online predators, the importance of having an open dialogue about digital safety, and more.
